Hooters in Bristol gets Green Light
By admin on Sep 02, 2010 with Comments 1
Hooters, the American restaurant chain – famed for its scantily-clad waitresses – has been given the go-ahead to open in Bristol‘s Harbourside, despite objections from Avon and Somerset police and the general public.
The council’s licensing committee gave permission to open a branch in the former Marks and Spencer Simply Food premises in Millennium Square at a meeting yesterday.
Police were concerned that this would prove to be one nightspot too many, in one of the main areas for crime and disorder in the whole of Bristol.
About a dozen residents attended the meeting to oppose the proposals, but they had not objected in sufficient time to allow them to raise their concerns.
Bristol will have its own Hooter’s in the not-too-distant future.

Fantastic news about the opening of this great venue. Hopefully it will bring a lot of business to the City.
