I think Mary said something about Simon always sticking up for Cheryl and her acts and that none of the others really had a chance.

Bit low of him saying that to her on live tv before he sent her packing!!! She was dead right really!

  2. Mir says:

All she said was……”Simon never knows when to make his mind up. I love the man to bits but one minute he tells you that he wants you to change and do it differently, when you do it he tells you you should have stuck to what you did so you can’t win. He’s a lovely man but he can’t make his mind up.”

Then she smiled…it was said in jest….what a touchy man!!!

  3. Liz says:

She said that Simon basically can’t make his mind up. One minute he’s asked her to sing more contemporary songs and Mary has hit back saying that if she did do that he would have said to stick to the old stuff – catch 22.

XFactor is rapidly turning into a farce, not a touch on what it used to be.

Wow, thanks so much for your replies!

Personally, we find XFactor more and more frustrating to watch. The mass promotion of artists and constant adverts really does taint the show.

Is the XFactor coming to an end, or better than ever?

  5. catty says:

yes it is coming to an end – getting really boring- its all about the judges ego

  6. sarah stevens says:

good for you Mary saying that about Simon, it is true, and yes if Cherly said that he would not have minded he so fancy her its sicking there like two silly kids, he would roll over for her, its a fix,

  7. Jay says:

Mary knew she was on her way home, it was there when she walked out on stage, in her eyes and her performances. Yet despite this She was a much better vocalist than Cher Llyod who needed the judges to wave their magic wand and save her.
It would have been very interesting to know which of the two acts had the higher public votes.I think Mary knew that she received more votes than Cher and that’s got to really hurt.

  8. Cheryl Cole says:

    Who’s Cherly?

  9. geraldine says:

I agree X Factor is becoming egotistical and childish. Why should coaches also be judges? Of course, they are going to vote for their protegee. Simon and Louis should settle their scores behind the scenes an dnot tarnish the show with their bickering.

  10. Leyton says:

Remind me again what the point of the sing off is. Because it appears to make no difference on how well you sing. The judges will always put through their favourites. Mary sung that Cher off the stage last night and still got voted off. And I see that when Cher has her back to the wall she forgets about rapping and sings a ballad. Hypocrite!

  11. cheeks says:

Simon does nothing but criticise Louis walsh and its a disgrace, as he is about the most honest out them all. Yet Simon is waiting to pounce on any little comment. Arrogant Pr**k i really liked simon after susan boyle but this years x factor show has been a farce form beginning to end. Who gets put out every week should be down to public vote pure and simple then people would not be voted off due to loyaltys. I sat and watched cheryl plead with simon last night but she needn’t have made a fool of herself, simon was always going to vote louis act off. Wont be watching next year its just a shame now.

  12. Finn says:

The sing-off with a decision by the judges is to add a bit of pseudo drama to the end of the show, BUT more importantly to give the judges ultimate control over who stays and who goes.

All the way through they choose to keep on people like Cher and Katie who have had the lowest votes but it’s good television to keep on those who ‘people love to hate’.

  13. WANDA says:

WONDER WHY SICO KEPT CHER – SHE IS A THREAT TO ONE DIRECTION SURELY? OR WAS HE JUST VINDICTIVE TO MARY?
CHER NEEDS TO GO – SHE IS TOO FEEBLE AND ANYONE WHO KEEPS SAYING “I AM DOING IT FOR MY FAMILY” IS TALKING RUBBISH !!

  14. Eggwin says:

The show is set up for finding the next popstar for the kids to listen to. Not for Mums or 25+’s.
People should respect that a bit more and not tke it too seriously.
I’ll never buy a One Direction CD, but I think they should win, I’ll never buy a Cher CD, but she’s my favourite on the show. I’ll never buy a Matt or Rabecca CD and in a year or so I probably won’t remember who they are.

  15. Tony Burton says:

I really hope that Rebecca wins, but actually I hope the studio gets a power out during the final and they put on a decent film instead!

  16. me says:

Oh chill out you lot, what does it matter, of course its about ‘good television’ it’s a television show! They’ve all got famous now and will all sing for lots of money forever, just enjoy the show for what it is, a show. Think mary’s got a great voice but don’t think I’d ever buy an album, isn’t that what counts?
