Chance to Win £100 Worth of Vouchers In Quakers Friars Cookie Competition

Cabot Circus offers free fun for all the family this Saturday (11th August), as shoppers are invited to decorate delicious cookies from 11am in Quakers Friars for their chance to win £100 worth of vouchers for Carluccio’s restaurant.

The competition kicks off the ‘Closer to Food’ event which will take place next weekend (18th – 19th August). Carluccio’s restaurant will provide the cookies, and plenty of colourful icing and pretty sprinkles for shoppers to get creative decorating their biscuits. Whether funky and bright or elegantly artistic, we want to see as many scrumptious-looking cookies as possible.

All entries will be photographed and uploaded to the Cabot Circus Facebook page, where they will be judged and the five finalists will be selected. The finalists will then return on Saturday 18th, where celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli will judge the winning cookie.

Kevin Duffy, Cabot Circus Centre Director, commented “This cookie competition is an imaginative addition to our annual food festival; Bristol is a very creative city so we’re looking forward to seeing some of the designs. It’s a fun way for people of all ages to participate in the festival.”

The ‘Closer to Food’ food festival will take place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August, and will feature cookery demonstrations from Jean-Christophe Novelli as well as former MasterChef finalist Dean Edwards and other head chefs from restaurants within Cabot Circus.  As well as picking up some expert tips, visitors will be able to sample delicious local produce from artisan breads and cheeses to traditional chutneys and sausages.
