Stokes Croft StreetFest 2010

The Stokes Croft Streetfest will take place on Saturday 22nd May 2010.

An outdoor festival in Kings Square, the Bear Pit and Junction garden including stalls, food, arts and crafts, art exhibitions, graffiti, street art, street chess, kids areas, live music, street theatre etc. Noon – 6pm, free.

Followed by an almighty afterparty where one wristband gets you into every venue on Stokes Croft including Lakota, the Croft, the Junction, Attik and the Canteen. 6pm till the early hours, £5 advance/£7 on the door.

It is a joint fundraiser for PRSC (Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft) and the Bristol Festival Community Group; designed to raise funds to be ploughed back into the regeneration of Stokes Croft and the community festival which both showcases local talent and trains volunteers in event skills. It is also designed to raise awareness of our organisations, the work currently being done by businesses and communities in the area, and challenge people’s perceptions of the Stokes Croft area; promoting it as a cultural quarter. Particular focus is on art, independent activity, reclaiming the streets and engaging street drinkers, the homeless and vulnerable adults.

The Line-up includes: Kid Carpet, We are the Nynes, John E Vistic, Yes rebels, The Hats, Dr Meaker, Brazilian Beats, Unity and many more!

    Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to have a stall selling costume jewellery I would donate 10% of my takings and of course pay for a table.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Kind Regards

    Julie
