The winners from each region will come together for a day of fun at an England V Pakistan ODI in September, and compete to be crowned Red Bull Catch 2:2 2010 Champions!

*_Catch 22: Let’s Play Ball!_***

*Cricket. It’s great isn’t it? Fun in the sun, what could be better? But it takes ages, we hear you cry. Well not any more. Red Bull Catch 2:2 is the new way everyone can enjoy the great British pastime of having a summer hit in the park with your mates. So grab an accomplice, practise that big slog and get ready for four overs of undiluted fun.*

*What is Red Bull Catch 2:2?*
Red Bull Catch 2:2 is the new fast-paced game of cricket that can be played by four people in 15 minutes. It’s what your summer was made for.

The game format is simple: 2 teams of 2 players, 2 overs per side. The competition takes place across 4 weeks in 4 cities this summer, London, Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds.

The highest scoring teams from each week, plus the nest 2 highest scorers across the first 3 weeks will all return to play in the last week of July.

The winners from each region will come together for a day of fun at an England v Pakistan One Day International in September and compete to be crowned Red Bull Catch 2:2 2010 champions!

Red Bull Catch 2:2 is open to all. Just grab a mate and bring your batting eye and bowling arm down to the park this summer and join us for an evening of cricket with a Red Bull vibe.

*Red Bull Catch 2:2 Final:*

*_WHAT ARE THE RULES?_***

*Batting and Bowling Rules:*

- Each batsman must face 3 legitimate consecutive deliveries per over, and the batsmen then swap ends.

- Each player must bowl one over (before swapping with their team mate).

- Run up – no more than 3 paces before the popping crease.

- Wickets – Batsmen are out if they are bowled, caught or stumped. For every ‘out’ 3 runs will be deducted from the batting team’s overall score.

*Penalty Rules:*

- Wide – down the leg side or too wide on the off side. – the batting team will be awarded 1 extra run and 1 extra ball.

- No balls – over waist height on the full or overstepping the popping crease: over waist height: the batting team will be awarded 1 extra run and 1 extra ball, overstepping the popping crease: the batting team will be awarded 1 extra run, 1 extra ball and a free hit.

- Free hit – the batsman cannot get out on a free hit unless he/she is stumped.

*Scoring Format:*

The field is divided into an inner and outer zone with four scoring areas. If the bowler or wicketkeeper gathers the ball before it leaves the inner zone, no run is given. If the ball leaves the inner zone and fails to reach the boundary, runs will be awarded as follows:

- Area A (Behind) – 1 run

- Areas B & C (Sides) – 2 runs

- Area D (Straight) – 3 runs

- If the ball reaches the boundary having touched the ground – 4 runs

- If the ball reaches the boundary without having touched the ground – 6
runs

*The Sweetspot:*

The batting team will be awarded double runs if the ball hits the Red Bull Catch 2:2 Sweetspot, there are four of these on the boundary marking out the areas.

*How To Win:*

The team with the most runs wins. If the game is tied after the allotted 2 overs per side, each team will face a further 6 balls (3 balls per batsman and bowler).
