Call of Duty: Black Ops Found 50 matches. Getting match quality. Joining game lobby.

For those of you out there who are mad about Call of Duty and have been experiencing the annoying “Call of Duty: Black Ops – Found 50 matches. Getting match quality. Joining game lobby.” message, we may have the solution you have been searching for.
We noticed our issues came about following an XBox Live Update that must be applied when loading Black Ops.
The way we resolved our issue was by the following steps:
- On your Xbox 360 console, sign in with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
- Go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
- Select Memory.
- Select your primary memory device (most likely, a hard drive).
- Select Games.
- Select the Black Ops game UPDATE that has the problem, and then press Y on the controller.
- Select Delete.
- Choose Yes, to delete the game.
- Press B on the controller until you return to the Xbox Dashboard.
- Start the game and, when you are prompted to do so, download the update again
This resolved our issues and we were able to play online without issue happily thereafter.
*This advice is on an as-is basis and we cannot be held accountable if this doesn’t solve your problem or causes other issues. It DID work for us though.

Sorry to hear that the fix didn’t sort it for you – worth a try at least.
There does seem to be peak hours when the servers are just simply too rammed to cope with the ammount of users trying to connect.
All we can really suggest is keep trying, and good luck!
what about wii?
Hi All,
Thanks for the post on this subject. I have had problems ever since I got the game at Christmas.
I tried the fix above and unfortunatley got no joy.
BUT – By good luck more than anything, I have a fix.
My internet has always been cabled. Over the weekend one of my friend sold me his Wireless xbox connection.
I pluged this in and entered my internet key and set up my wireless internet.
I did not think that this would make any difference what so ever. But to my suprise……….it has. Now my black ops is fine.
I was sooooooooo happy I needed to share this with you guys to hope you could fix yours.
Glad you got it sorted, Dean. Happy Xboxing!
Thanks very much. Just hope it helps others.
Thanks
Dean
Hey guys.
I found another way to fix this problem:
- Start the game BO
- Select ‘Multiplayer’ (when you chose in the strange room)
- Select ‘Options’ (in the first screen)
- Select ‘Load multiplayer by default’ on: Enabled.
That did the trick for me.

After this March 1st update I’ve the same problem. I tried the above solution but it didn’t work, unfortunately.
I have the exact same problem after the March update. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? The matchmaking loads to 98%, says it found 40 matches, and then repeats the process. It won’t let me join any matches besides Wager matches. Does anyone know how to fix this. I’ve spotted about 5 other people with threads on the Internet who experienced this problem right after the March update.
