Red Arrows Confirmed for Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

The world-renowned RAF Display team. the ‘Red Arrows’ are to display at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta for the second year running.
In August 2008, ”the reds’ as they are affectionately known wowed crowds with a display full of speed, tight-turns and coloured smoke.
They have now confirmed they will fly over the fiesta at Ashton Court on Saturday, 8 August 2009.
The Balloon Fiesta’s event director, Susan Tanner, said she is “delighted” at the coup.
“Last year’s display was staggering and this year’s promises to be better than ever,” she said.
“The contrast of elegant, silent balloons against the adrenalin pumping skills of jet aircraft ensures that the Fiesta will once again provide a unique spectacle – unavailable anywhere else in the world.”
This year’s Balloon Fiesta will take place from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th August 2009.
The balloon fiesta has something for everyone – there are lots of different shows around the balloons in the main area, and away from the area there is a funfair, refreshment stands, etc.
