The new Ford Focus arrives in the UK in March and looks set to be the most important car of 2011.
The Focus was the UK’s third best-selling car last year, after the Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Astra. With an all-new, third-generation styling and competitive pricing, the new Focus looks set to take top car sales in its range in 2011.
Find out more about the new Ford Focus on the Ford Website. Alternatively, pop-in to a local Bristol Ford Dealership such as Brunel Ford.
The entry-level model will cost £15,995, with standard equipment including DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and USB connectivity along with voice control for some major functions.
The 1.6-litre petrol in Edge trim will cost £15,995 while the 1.6-litre diesel will be £1,000 more. Titanium prices will start at £18,745 for the 1.6-litre petrol, while range-topping Titanium X range kicks off with the £21,245 1.6-litre petrol. The most expensive new Focus will be the 2-litre TDCi Titanium X, at £25,095.
The engine line-up will include 104bhp, 123bhp and 148bhp 1.6-litre petrol units, along with 1.6- and 2-litre diesels providing 94-161bhp. The bigger diesel is also available with Ford’s dual-clutch gearbox, while smaller diesels are fitted with a stop and start system as standard.
Only the five-door hatchback will be offered from launch, with an estate to follow later in the year – Ford has already said there will be no three-door hatch.
With over 1,4 million examples sold in Britain since its launch in 1998, the Ford Focus has become a favourite with consumers for its outstanding value, comfort and safety, and above all, for being fun to drive.
The all-new Focus also offers customers the highest standards of quality and detailed craftsmanship, outstanding fuel economy, and takes the legendary Focus driving dynamics to a new level.
“We are very excited about introducing the new Ford Focus to the European market given the strong heritage this model has here,” said Stephen T. Odell, Chairman and CEO, Ford of Europe. “With its desirable combination of dynamic design, outstanding driver appeal, unmatched levels of technology and impressive fuel economy, we believe that the new car will not only delight our existing customers but also expand the appeal of the Focus brand to a whole new generation of Ford customers.”

I must say I’m not convinced by the design. The rear end just screams out ‘BORING!’.
Think I’ll have to reserve final judgement til I see one in person though.
I like the new design but i was just wondering if you have any technical information feguarding the new focus.
i also need no info reguarding the RS Focus
Thanks
